"We Scare Hunger"

The Grade 6 students read a newspaper article that the Ottawa Mission needs turkeys to feed the homeless and hungry people on Thanksgiving.

We asked the whole school to donate 50 cents to go to the Ottawa Mission. We calculated some math and we figured out that if every student donated 50 cents then we could buy 10 turkeys for the mission. To motivate the students, we offered our gym time for the first 2 classes who would bring in their donations first.

All Grade 6 students worked hard on creating posters to inform the school.
