Green Squad

The Green Squad and Nature Club have been working on exciting projects to help the environment and raise awareness of how important nature really is for us and the world.
Near the beginning of the year the Green Squad worked on a Waste Free Lunch Campaign.  They created posters and put them around the school to promote healthy and waste free lunches, for example, less plastic bags, plastic water bottles, and wrappers.

Guardians of the Grove started around the middle of May, to promote safety and following the rules in the grove. Students in Green Squad created cool, attractive pinnies to make the guardians stand out too! Talk about dedication! To add onto that, when the cold winter season subsided, the Green Squad took away their time to clean and repair the grove!

We had the school take a pledge to protect the grove, and with that the green squad made a giant tree poster! Now the school is officially eco-friendly!

That concludes the recent projects the Green Squad and Nature Club did during 2017.  Remember, we can all make a difference!
